Responsibilities
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Reconciliation Specialist to join our
team. As a Reconciliation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy
and integrity of financial records through the reconciliation of various accounts. This role
requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze
and interpret financial data. If you have a passion for numbers and enjoy working in a

Responsibilities:
- Perform reconciliation of all banking transactions to include; cash collection (school
meals and special function events), credit card prepayments, courier service, change
fund, petty cash, non-reimbursable snacks, vending, sales tax and biweekly temporary
services payroll.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of
financial data
- Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts
receivable, and accounts payable
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or variances in financial records
- Prepare journal entries and adjustments as needed
- Conduct account analysis to ensure proper classification and coding of transactions
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for reconciliation
purposes
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assists with school based inventory, student refunds and student transfers.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices
Qualifications/Experience:
- Proven experience in technical accounting, preferably in a corporate or governmental
setting
- Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and general ledger reconciliation
- Experience with account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Microsoft Excel; pivot tables,Vlookup,
IF statements, and other advanced formulas
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors or discrepancies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
- Solid understanding of financial acumen and principles
- Effective written and verbal communication skills

General Information
