Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join our team. The role of the Field Service Engineer is to support customers both onsite and virtually with any needs related to cryogenic dispensing applications (liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, liquid oxygen and liquid nitrous oxide), vacuum insulated piping systems, and cryogenic storage and delivery systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Travel: Anticipated 75-100% travel, depending on volume of service orders and frequency of customer needs. The FSE will travel to customer sites within the US and Canada to provide services as needed per customer scope. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Assembling - Dosing machines from OEM crate into customer packaging area.
Installing - Dosing machines into customer packaging equipment as needed per scope.
Repairing - Dosing machines at customer sites as needed per scope.
Commissioning - Dosing machines with filling, capping and seaming equipment or as needed with an understanding of upstream and downstream requirements.
Training - Customer employees and operators on proper doser operations, startup, shutdown, common troubleshooting, commissioning, new SKUs, HMI,PLC and others per scope
Auditing - Customer systems and identifying areas of equipment failure, poor maintenance, unsafe conditions, and others as per customer scope
Developing- Startup/Shutdown procedures based on unique customer specifics, processes for production runs, and formulations for R&D applications as needed per scope.
Sales Engineering:Working with customers to design custom solutions and selling equipment and/or services to meet their needs. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Guiding customers through the equipment selection process.
- Engineering equipment configuration specific for customer need.
- Measuring piping routes onsite with customer as needed for specific projects.
- Engineering Vacuum Insulated Piping designs specific for Cryogenic applications.
- Travel to customer site to install and commission equipment
Skills Needed: Required skills include specific knowledge of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment, general knowledge of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, and familiarity with major can and bottle filler manufacturers. Experience working on or working with beverage filling and packaging equipment is highly desirable.
