Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents for imaging which includes removing staples, attached notes, or any item unable to be processed through a scanner; insert header sheets for each document type and/or individual person; prepare batches of documents for the imaging function with cover sheets as needed
- Scan prepared batches of documents into imaging system; monitor the process, making adjustments as needed
- Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis of scanned document images to assure accuracy and legibility maintained
- Participates with office staff and supervisors to establish well-coordinated compliant scanning routines, following retention policy and guidelines per CCSS and Department of Mental Health
- Demonstrates effective problem identification, problem solving and priority setting skills
- Must demonstrate the ability to follow the organization’s confidentiality and security rules
- Must be knowledgeable regarding patient health information and HIPAA compliance
- Must be organized and demonstrate the ability to follow guidelines
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of clerical experience, and two years working in healthcare with health records preferred

The employee must frequently lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds. Must be able to carry or push/pull 10-25 pounds.
