Position Summary:
The Table Server position reports to Night + Market management and is responsible for providing excellent customer service to the guests of Night + Market, while also providing support to a variety of sub-roles. In addition to the Table Server role, this position will also learn and support the Back Server, Host Server, and Expo Server positions. A strong candidate has experience providing exceptional customer service and strong beverage and food knowledge. Night + Market will be a tip-pool house and all front of house staff will have an equal stake, so strong team players are a must.
Requirements:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
- Maintain complete working knowledge and ability to successfully perform all tasks and/or intelligently communicate food & beverage product information, point of sale software & hardware component operating procedures, hospitality steps of service standards regarding food & beverage order taking & processing, running of food & beverage items and procedures for processing all payment types.
- Maintain and utilize an extensive working knowledge of service techniques, cooking techniques, restaurant culture, beverage and food menu and special menu items to manage guest expectations, anticipate their wants and needs, and create an inclusive dining environment for varied clientele according to the flow and pace of service.
- Understand and practice professional service standards, proper speech etiquette, and respectful behavior before, during and after your shift while on property.
- Efficiently pre-bus, bus and reset tables according to service standards.
- Run bottles of wine, glasses of wine, cocktails, and other beverages from designated bar and wine service areas with accuracy and attention to detail while being able to demonstrate full knowledge of all menu and special menu items.
- Address guests with special needs, i.e., allergies, dietary restrictions, etc., and meet their needs to the fullest potential possible according to menu guidelines.
- Assist in preparing and serving water, tea, and soft drinks from the back-service area to your guests and others outside of your section.
- Maintain and promote a safe and clean restaurant environment according to SNHD protocols.
- Maintain and promote personal health and hygiene standards.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Train on all of the addition duties assigned to the Back Server, Host Server and Expo Server positions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active SNHD Food Handlers and Nevada Alcohol Education Cards
- Strong beverage and food knowledge skills.
- Strong communication skills, inclusive of spelling and grammar.
- Strong serving background with at least three years of recent serving and/or comparable food & beverage hospitality experience at a high-volume establishment.
- Experience with the following software and programs are helpful: InfoGenesis POS system, and OpenTable reservation System.

- Monday-Sunday, subject to change.
- Flexibility for coverage and/or emergencies is required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to move quickly and efficiently through the restaurant.
- At times will work in confined spaces.
- Work environment is noisy, must constantly receive and communicate information.
- Ability to bend, stoop, balance, and reach-ins necessary. Job requires lifting/carrying max weight of 50lbs.
