The Assistant Team Leader is the expert of our merchandise and the key contact person for the vendors.
Also, providing direction and leadership for operations during each work period is important.
Job Responsibilities:
- Keep the store clean and neat is the essential responsibility for all Marukai employees.
- Provide friendly and helpful between each other in the workplace.
- Properly wear and use company provide Personal Protective Equipment such as uniform / vest, apron, mask, gloves, hat, hair net, and others.

Based on the assignment, you might need to handle Deli, Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Sushi, and or other perishable products.
- Based on the assignment, you need to handle different tools and equipment such as slicer, scale, saw, knife, wrapper, grinder, and or other necessary items.

Support your ADL/DL for the inventory level checking, placing orders, returning, quality checking, and product label information.
- Coordinate with warehouse team members about packing and labels. You might need to carry out labeling/packaging of fruit & veggie products in a speedy manner.

Support store team to get sufficient merchandise knowledge materials, instructions, POP, or flyers. You might get it from Merchandise team, or you might need to prepare on your own with instructions.
- Operating and providing accurate results in the warehouse system or reports.

Be responsible for the merchandise reports including shipment tracking, sales performance, perishable inventory forms, and others.
- Trian and develop team members for the knowledge of merchandise.
- Follow the supervisor’s instructions and company policy and procedures.

Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure.

Other signed responsibilities.
- Specific instructions for operations and staffing according to the operation plan (per work period). Also manages overtime, etc. when necessary. (Obligation to report to supervisor)
Requirements:

CentralKitchen team member experience will be a plus but not required.

- Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a “Certified Food Safety Manager” or will be required to attend company paid training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment. Accreditation must be maintained while employed in a position in which it is required.
Work Skill Requirements:
- Merchandise team will provide the work skill training and instruction.
