The Purpose of this Role
The Compound Operator will be responsible for the mixing of compounds in accordance with set standards, proper equipment setup and operation to ensure accuracy of batch mixes and necessary quantity to ensure continual production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Keeping compound levels in the silo’s above minimum set standards.
· Familiarization with troubleshooting techniques associated with mixing process.
· Must meet production standards established for mixing room.
· Check raw chemical levels each day to ensure they are above minimum levels.
· Maintain a clean work environment.
· Train and instruct new employees as required.
· Ensure that in the event of bad batches of compound made, it is dumped into the hopper and separated from any material moving to a silo. Check to insure no bad material is left behind in the cooler (if found, remove and keep with rest of product)
· Check with supervisor to determine what to do with batch.
This position requires flexibility in work schedule as needed, (overtime and off-shift work as needed). The successful candidate must possess good decision making/problem solving skills, and some mechanical abilities. High School diploma or GED required and must be able to pass a basic math and logic test.
