Owyhee Air Research LLC, is actively seeking a seasonal (June thru November with potential for full-time) type-rated King Air 350 pilot to serve as PIC or SIC on a King Air 350 under our Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate. The aircraft is contracted for natural resource and fire mapping/detection missions. Pilots serving in this position must excel in flight planning, Crew Resource Management, working within the NAS and ATC environment, logistics coordination and communication with local fire commanders and sensor operators onboard the aircraft. This position is primarily a night operations position, requiring solid night and instrument currency / proficiency. The missions will be flown as two crew, so the successful applicant may be assigned as PIC or SIC depending upon crew availability and mission requirements. This position is based out of Nampa, Idaho, but may also be assigned on temporary duty (lodging covered) anywhere in the CONUS and Alaska.
Qualifications:
- FAA Commercial/Instrument or ATP AMEL
- BE-300/350 Type Rating
- Instrument Rating
- Class 2 medical
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Current Passport
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Minimum Hours (These minimums must be met or exceeded.)
- 1,500 hours Total Time
- 1,200 hours PIC
PIC hours to include (These minimums must be met or exceeded.)
- 200 AMEL
- 100 Fixed-wing in the preceding 12 months
- 500 Cross Country
- 200 Mountainous Terrain
- 200 Night
- 75 Total Instrument
- 50 Actual Instrument
Highly Desired:
- 25 BE-300/350 (10 hours preceding 12 months).
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Motivated leader with excellent safety and crew resource management skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Willingness to work irregular hours in diverse geographic locations to include Alaska and Canada.
- Willingness to travel multiple days or weeks at a time

Salary: Contingent upon days flown and qualifications / experience.
Shift: Maximum of 8 flight hours in a 14-hour duty day.
