The Choice is facilitating an immediate search for an Event Registration Manager. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity with a professional association in the higher education space.
This role serves as a key point of contact for 15-20 events and conferences annually. The Event Registration Manager will manage the registration process for all events and conferences, ensuring effective management of the association's meetings and conferences.
Location: Washington, DC (near the convention center)
Hybrid Schedule: In-office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Remote: Monday, Friday
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in meeting or conference work, including registration management experience
Skills: Strong technical skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Experience with an AMS system or Association Anywhere is a big plus.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and manage 15-20 event registrations per year, including providing on-site registration services.
- Work closely with the IT department for meeting and conference setups, ensuring accurate use of membership categories and fiscal information. Consult with IT for complicated registration setups based on membership status.
- Collaborate with Meetings Managers, client departments, and colleague departments to ensure successful registration management for registrants, sponsors, speakers, guests, and VIPs.
- Generate various reports, including weekly registration reports, confirmation letters, badges, seeded participant lists, and raw data reports for registration trend analysis.
- Ensure the integrity of participants' information in Association Anywhere and manage data write-backs or technology integrations between Association Anywhere and other specific technology platforms.
- Provide onsite registration support at events.
- Required 5-10 times per year for 3-6 days each, plus 7-8 days for the Annual Session.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Salary Information:
Temporary: $38-40/h
Perm: $70k-75k
