Position Description:
The Data Management Director, reporting to the CIO, will build strategic assets to better serve customers, support digital transformation, and increase operational effectiveness, efficiency, and automation. This position will establish, execute, and manage the overall enterprise data management (EDM) roadmap, including EDM governance and communication, in cooperation with various business and technical stakeholders.
The role requires a self-motivated, independent individual with a solid background in developing and operationalizing data management strategies. ACE is a highly collaborative company that requires managers to cooperate with other departments and employees of such departments. The IT department exists to fulfill the needs of their internal customers with reliable and manageable data and reports, which the internal customers will use for management purposes internally and externally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop and operationalize data governance frameworks and practices to meet agreed-upon standardization and modeling requirements.
· Develop and operationalize data policies for data access, compliance, retention, and lifecycle management.
· Drive the creation and management of data pipelines, APIs, and interoperability frameworks that adhere to industry standards.
· Assist functional departments and management in driving business decisions based on reliable data and appropriate disclosures when data limitations exist.
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including senior management and internal operations, to ensure the expansion and scalability of our platform capabilities.
· Develop and assist in managing a team of data architects, data analysts, and business analysts.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability.
· BA/BS Computer Science, computer programming, or equivalent experience
· 5-7+ years’ experience in Healthcare (Manage Care), health informatics/health and claims data experience required.
· Strong technical background and understanding of data management, software development processes, technologies, and trends.
· Strong background in healthcare data integration and interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, etc.).
· Working experience in healthcare data query and analytics using Microsoft SQL
· Experience in data architecture, APIs, ETL, and big data is preferred.
· Hands-on experience with Boomi atmosphere is preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Effective time management and organizational skills.
· Work independently as well as in a team environment in a cooperative and collaborative manner.
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive results.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
