We are a small rapidly growing orthodontic practice in the quaint Wedgwood Northeast Seattle community. We are a dedicated, long-term, reliable team with one doctor looking for an orthodontic assistant to join us. Our practice prides themselves on high-quality, patient-centered care, positive and supportive team in a fun environment.
This is a full-time 4-day per week position with very competitive pay based upon experience along with generous benefits (bonus opportunities, health benefits, vacation pay, sick pay). Preference will go to candidates with 2 years or more of orthodontic assisting experience, however, candidates with less experience will still be considered.
The ideal candidate will be coachable, reliable, compassionate, and have excellent interpersonal skills to develop an effective relationship with patients, parents, and other team members, as well as great verbal skills to communicate with and educate patients and parents about their treatment.
We see patients Monday - Thursday from 7:30am - 4:00pm, with a 1 hour lunch. Our daily schedule is strategically tailored to allow for breaks to prevent burnout yet maintain gold standards of care. Our team arrives at 6:45am to set up for the day, huddle and stay until charts, lab work and cleaning are done, usually no later than 4:30pm.
We offer traditional braces and aligners to kids, teens, and adults! We take digital impressions with an Itero scanner and print 3D models with fabrication of in house retainers. Other duties include instrument sterilization, inserting and removing arch wires, bonding and debonding procedures, separators, fitting and placing bands, patient education, hygiene, appliance care, emergencies, etc.
Full time is ~32 hours per week, however, team members contribute in other capacities during non patient non doctor time such as administrative or marketing/social media work. If you consider yourself an ideal candidate please send us your resume.

Requirements:
- Current State of Washington Dental Assistant Registration
- CPR BLS certification a plus
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of dental assistant experience desired
- Orthodontic assistant experience is a plus
- Gentle and patient with children is a must
- Responsible, reliable, & organized
- Strong interpersonal skills, compassionate and empathetic
- Multitasking: needs to be a team player and willing to assist not only the doctor, but the entire team
- Knowledge of Dolphin or any other orthodontic software is desired
