HOT WATER SPECIALIST

OVERVIEW:
The Hot Water Specialist will provide start-up, and technical assistance services on light commercial and industrial equipment. This technician will work with specialized commercial boiler and water heater equipment systems in schools, hospitals, office buildings, industrial buildings, universities, manufacturing facilities, etc. This position may involve after hour call outs to provide emergency service. Our full-time technician will provide guidance and direction to customers for field service and construction/replacement work of commercial boiler and hot water systems, including design and layout assistance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform technical level support for sales, start-ups, application engineering/sizing, and repairs of various commercial equipment such as boilers, water heaters, pumps, etc.
- Provide expert assistance to diagnose and troubleshoot for commercial equipment.
- Provide onsite technical assistance as needed by customers.
- Maintaining appropriate records.
- Remaining current on technical issues, new technology, building codes, regulations, and industry trends.
- Some travel throughout Ohio and surrounding states and unscheduled after hours/weekend work required.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
- Minimum of 5 years related experience with commercial boiler systems.
- Knowledge of basic electricity, electrical control systems and general knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write instructions and short correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to use and maintain a variety of hand tools, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, engineering specifications and other equipment.
- Maintain a high standard of mechanical installation practices.
- Understand piping layout, system design, and system sizing; expert understanding of product specifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong math and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high ethical standards.
- Ability to travel within the OH/IN/KY/PA territory.
- Computer knowledge; Microsoft Office software preferred.
- Valid driver license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Pass the required drug screen.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- $85,000.00 base salary
