1:1 Behavioral Support Paraprofessional
The 1:1 Behavioral Support Paraprofessional is a front line, paraprofessional primarily responsible for the direct implementation of a behavior support plan and methodology to support student success in a recreational environment. This is position is being created for students on the spectrum that exhibit aggressive behaviors.
The hours of the program are 2 Fridays and Saturdays per month. Friday night is 6-930pm and Saturday is 830am-530pm. The schedule is put out three months in advance.
Responsibilities and Duties: Collaborating with staff in the implementation of Behavior Support Plans and methodologies.
- Collecting data on behaviors and progress toward behavioral goals
- Supporting the program with managing student behaviors
Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary student support team
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- A minimum of one year’s experience working with students in a special education environment
- A minimum of one year’s experience working with students with behavioral needs in a K-12 setting Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-year experience working with children
- TB and Pass a clear Background Check
