Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager position is part of the Design Imaging sales team and will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to secure new business growth for the company. The expected growth will come by way of developing new markets, channels, customers, and revenue streams to help Design Imaging achieve its growth goals and increase its market share. This is a base salary plus commission role.
What You Will Be Doing:
· Explore and locate new business opportunities in different markets/channels
· Oversee lead generation, marketing and promotional activities to attract new business
· Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline
· Set individual and team goals to meet sales objectives
· Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials
· Examine risks and potentials for new business opportunities
· Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations
· Enhance Design Imaging’s recognition and reputation by promoting the company to new markets and industries
· Participate in sales events including tradeshows and conferences
· Travel to meet with business prospects (expected travel: 30%-50%)
· Gather useful information from market research and competitor data
· Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
· Work with R&D team to develop new products that fit customer needs
What We Are Looking For:
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent level of work experience
· 3-5 years of experience working in sales, marketing and/or customer service
· Sharp negotiation and networking skills
· Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques
· Experience with managing sales programs and business processes
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and juggle competing priorities
· Ability to keep commitments and deliver under pressure
· Knowledge of construction materials and installation practices
· Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential
