Job Title: Procurement Consultant
Duration: 6 Months Contract with high possibility of extension.
Shift Details: 1st shift
Location: Roswell, GA (Hybrid) (On-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays, remote other days)
Description:
Highly concentrated IT contract negotiation as well as terms and conditions extensions of software. Evaluates responses from suppliers, coordinates the requests that come through the IT Team. Work with stakeholders to understand what exactly they are looking for and guide them through the process as well as prepare RFP's and RFI's. Work with the suppliers to negotiate contracts by using standard set of templates to create a statement of work or software/hardware service agreement when applicable. Will work closely with the IT VMO team, IT, vendor management, office team.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically source complex goods and services in alignment with corporate policies.
- Integrate procurement techniques to meet internal customer requirements.
- Facilitate senior leader meetings with strategic suppliers to drive innovation and value.
- Articulate compelling cases for strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Develop robust sourcing strategies based on deep commodity knowledge.
- Lead supplier performance management reviews and manage contract negotiations.
- Communicate category strategy and status to senior management.
- Manage high-dollar category sourcing and contract negotiations.
- Handle regional and/or global annual purchases, typically in the $150-$500 million range.
Required Skills:
Must have a strong understanding of IT space and good understanding of what stakeholder needs are.
Good change management skills
Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, strong strong supplier relationship management skills, understanding of the sourcing process.
- Experience in IT contract negotiation and managing terms and conditions extensions.
- Ability to evaluate supplier responses and coordinate requests through the IT Team.
- Proficiency in preparing RFPs and RFIs.
- Familiarity with COUPA is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Change management skills to facilitate smooth transitions and implementations.
- Excellent stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills.
- Solid grasp of the sourcing process and procurement philosophies.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, or related discipline.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
- Advanced degree or ongoing education in technical expertise preferred.
- Proven experience in IT procurement and global supply chain organizations.
- Strong strategic sourcing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple business units.
- Familiarity with market conditions for goods and services purchases.
