Our client, an Overland Park based Residential Real Estate Development company is hiring a Permitting and Process Analyst to support their growing organization.
PURPOSE
Generate and send POs for each homesite when construction starts and verify them when field-approved for accounting. Maintain the function and accuracy of the purchase order system and assist with implementing new automated processes. Assist construction systems by submitting and obtaining home permits.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner in and outside of companies.
- Purchasing responsibilities:
- Create and distribute purchase orders to vendors and trade partners.
- Help facilitate the transfer of purchases from invoices to purchase orders.
- Keep pricing and vendor information up to date in the Homes software.
- Create and revise purchase orders in the Homes system once built out.
- System’s responsibilities:
- Maintain the purchase order system in Homes by inputting products, pricing, templates, quantities, dependencies, etc.
- Maintain the options templates and pricing in Homes and ensure their accuracy.
- Consistently report pricing changes for budgeting.
- Other special projects as assigned for implementation of the Homes software.
- Construction system responsibilities:
- Submit, track, obtain and upload permits in a timely manner to deliver them within our even flow build process. ensure all contractor and vendor paperwork is up to date (i.e. contract, Form W-9, and certificates of insurance). Maintain these records in an organized manner.
- Other miscellaneous duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of computer systems. Specific working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good problem solving and planning skills.
- Detail oriented to ensure accuracy of information.
- Motivated, self-directed and can operate within proper guidelines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with staff, vendors, and trade partners.
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Be open and prepared to grow professionally within the team as well as the overall company.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work in temperature-controlled environment with short periods in outside environment.
- Vision for near, mid-range, far and accommodation. Hearing for low, medium, and high pitch.
- Effective communication skills when dealing with co-workers, trade partners, and homeowners.
- Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist.
- Must be able to perform all job expectations safely with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds.
JOB HOURS
This is a full-time position. Between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
