Job Title: Volunteer Specialist

Schedules and facilitates volunteer participants to ensure compliance and that the required service hours are fulfilled at a designated location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works as a liaison between GWH, schools, religious groups, and various government agencies to assist in hour tracking, verifications, placement, and other tasks involved with the Volunteer Program.
- Conducts background checks for all volunteer participants per GWH Human Resources (HR) guidelines.
- Counsels Community Service participants on the terms of service time in person, or by phone.
- Organize and implement volunteer activities.
- Ensures volunteer data is properly filed in the GWH database.
- Maintain accurate volunteer Excel spreadsheets.
- Input necessary information into CaseWorthy (data management system).
- Track contact information and involvement of participants.
- Effectively handle multiple assignments and special projects.
- Must be timely in response to Volunteer Coordinator-related requests.
- Adherence to all GWH policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

- Maintain high levels of customer service and confidentiality associated with Volunteers, their information, and other areas of the department.
- Ability to self-direct and manage time with accuracy and monitor own work to ensure quality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- An associate degree or equivalent experience is required.
- One (1) to three (3) years of customer service experience is required.
- Administration experience (i.e., fax, scanner, copier, etc.) is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent Computer Skills: Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI):
- Appropriate placing and distribution levels for the volunteer team ten (10) to fifteen (15) placements per day.
- 60 to 75 regular volunteer placements/enrollments per week.
- Three (3) to five (5) group placements per week (if volume permits).
- Meet or exceed established outputs, outcomes, and goals for the (calendar/fiscal) year.
- Execution of Volunteer projects as assigned.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull, up to, 25 lbs.
