How You Will Contribute:
100% primary or secondary review of SALT returns.
Provide consulting and tax-saving strategies to clients.
Oversee franchise, sales/use and others to identify optimal filing options, exemptions, credits and incentives, and corporate structures that can reduce the client's tax liability.
Participate in all aspects of SALT engagements including tax research, preparation of technical memorandums, drafting client correspondence, and counseling client in defense against state audits.
Develop and maintain client relationships by providing high quality service that exceeds client’s expectations.
Assist with managing, training, and developing staff.
About YOU!
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or tax.
CPA, JD, CMI or CCIP (from the Institute for Professional in Taxation).
5+ years of tax accounting experience in public or private industry, primarily SALT experience for C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and other Flow-Through Entities.
Strong knowledge of tax standards at the state and local tax level.
