About the Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA): Established in 1974, the BDA is the convening nonprofit organization focused on Downtown Bellevue's economic and cultural vitality. BDA members represent the downtown community and fuel its growth with their energy, ideas, and commitment.
Position Overview: As a vital member of the Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA) team, you will provide leadership for our Transportation Demand Management (TDM) programs through our TransManage service. We are seeking an experienced individual to deliver strategies and programs that encourage changes in travel habits and educate audiences about non-drive-alone options in our growing city and region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation Demand Management Marketing for Individuals and Businesses: Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to promote alternative travel options. Accurately represent local programs and agency services and create messaging that effectively changes commuter behavior.
- Managing Collaborative Partnerships: Consult with employers/property owners to comply with city and state trip reduction laws. Serve as a consultant and partner with the City of Bellevue on the Choose Your Way Bellevue trip reduction services program.
- Adaptive Leadership and Project Management: Manage a small team, agency partner relationships, budgets, and deliverables. Provide outstanding client service and strategic insight to our local private and public partners.
- Team Leader and Team Player: Present at board meetings, assist commuters with route options and advise businesses on transit pass programs. Conduct all tasks with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, planning, policy, or a related field.
- At least three years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in business development, marketing, and transportation demand management outreach.
- Excellent project management, communication, research and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other photo/graphic editing software is a plus.
- Knowledge of content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress, SquareSpace, or other CMS, is a plus.
