NSG, Inc. is looking to add a member to the HR and Recruiting team in our corporate office in downtown Cincinnati.
Recruiting Coordinator
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Pay Rate: $21-22/hour

JOB SUMMARY: Primary responsibility falls under the direction of the Recruiting Manager and Human Resources. Performs all administrative and clerical functions related to Recruiting, Human Resources, Employment, Compensation, Orientation and Benefits. Provides administrative support to the Director of Human Resources, often of a highly confidential nature. Prepares a variety of reports for informational and regulatory purposes.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Place employee recruiting ads on company website and various job boards (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc), both directly as well as through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Accept resumes and employment applications.
- May administer clerical tests to applicants as directed.
- Maintain company industrial accident reports.
- Audit and verify accuracy of employee change requests.
- Assist with recruiting, application, and new employee processes including conducting interviews, background checks and onboarding.
- Administer employee selection assessments and coordinate interview schedules.
- Communicate new hire information to appropriate departments and follow up with newly hired employees on start dates and employee orientation information.
- May compose routine memos and letters as directed.
- Attend department meetings including meetings about new openings, hiring progress and benefits training.
- Maintain confidential department and employee files to include employment, labor, worker's compensation, unemployment compensation, compensation and benefit files.
- Enter employee status changes into the computer system and ensure that employee records are maintained in a current status.
- Meet with employees regarding routine FMLA requests and maintain required documentation. Refer questionable requests to Human Resources.
- Assists in coordinating employee recognition programs.
- Prepares a variety of reports weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. PowerPoint presentations, and spreadsheet for periodic reports including the executive team.
- Responds to employee's questions regarding the company's health and welfare benefit programs, pension and retirement plans. Conducts appropriate research when necessary to resolve issues.
- Assists in communicating policies and procedures during onboarding of new hires. Provides advisory support to employees and leaders in the field on employment procedures, policies and recordkeeping.
- Create identification badges for every new security and janitorial employee and fingerprint every security guard who works in Ohio using badging and fingerprint technology.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong interpersonal skills as they relate to all areas of candidate and employee interaction.
- Strong oral communication and language skills.
- High degree of reliability and accountability as it relates to all job duties.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information is provided by the candidate.
- Ability to interpret a variety of written or oral answers given prior to and during an interview to assess a person's candidacy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications and Applicant Tracking System or other internal/external programs/software as it relates to Recruiting and Human Resources.
- Capability of utilizing custom software support tools associated with the job. Scheduling tools,
EDUCATION
High school diploma required.
Continuing education preferred.
RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in Recruiting or Human Resources preferred.
Ability to hire 3-7 new employees each week.
High volume Recruiting experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to sit, talk, and listen for long periods of time.
