Position internally known as Internal Agency Representative.
This position will be based in our office at 4012 Gunn Highway.
Job Summary
The Insurance Customer Service Representative provides exceptional customer service to our insurance agency clients and policyholders. This candidate will be responsible for servicing existing policies, maintaining the incoming email inquiries, handling inbound/outbound calls, coverage/billing counseling, and additional service-related tasks as assigned. We are committed to providing excellent customer service to all our customers.
Duties and responsibilities-
Answer incoming call center questions about insurance policies and insurance coverage issues, as well as consumer complaints and general inquiries.

Demonstrate accuracy in processing client policy modifications based on the data given.

Verify new customers coverage and present policyholders with proof of insurance paperwork.

Keep track of all customer inquiries and follow up to verify that all questions are answered regarding customer policies.

Stay up to date on new marketing efforts to answer insurance product inquiries utilizing all the resources available.

Handle complaints, present appropriate solutions, and alternatives within the timeframes set, and follow up to ensure that the issue has been resolved.

Determine when to escalate complaints or complex situations to Agency Manager.

Provide reports to management as required.
Essential Functions-
Ability to speak with customers using telephone and computer systems.

Ability to handle a moderate volume of phone calls daily (at least 30)
- Ability to comprehend and research insurance risk information using computer systems.

Ability to read and comprehend complex policy information and instructions.
- Ability to reliably commute to the assigned office location.

Ability to adhere to regular attendance schedule.
Qualifications-
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 1 year of Agency experience in Property & Casualty

4-40 license required

Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, etc.) and customer relationship management software.

Previous customer service experience in a call center environment preferred.

Knowledge of insurance products and personal lines is preferred.

Excellent active listening, interpersonal, and communication skills
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift 0-10 lbs. without assistance.
Working conditions
This job operates from a physical office in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
