Title: kidsLINK Senior Area Supervisor
Reports to: Youth Success Program Manager

Under the oversight of the Greater Gallatin United Way kidsLINK Program, Senior Area Coordinators oversee the operation of 5-6 Afterschool programs, working with kidsLINK Coordinators in implementing program activities and caring for children and staff. This role will also have office duties and work with the Greater Gallatin United Way Leadership team to help smoothly operate the kidslINK programs. In this role, you will be able to work directly with staff to see to children’s basic needs, provide an enriching learning environment, and create a safe, compassionate “home-away-from home” for children.
Essential Job Duties
- Be at the kidsLINK Summer Program site and kidsLINK Afterschool programs to work with the kidslINK Summer Coordinator to oversee the daily operation of the programs, each site should be visited at least one a week.
- Work with Youth Success Manager and kidsLINK Assistant to coordinate the procurement and organization of activity supplies to ensure engaging and varied daily activities for program participants.
- Work with kidsLINK Assistant to coordinate the procurement and distribution of snack supplies, ensuring nutritional requirements and dietary restrictions are considered.
- Work with Coordinators to plan daily activities based on the curriculum guide, ensuring age-appropriate and educational content for program participants.
- Work with Coordinators to implement the kidsLINK disciplinary system, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Assist kidsLINK Youth Success Manager with scheduling, program logistics, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Help manage staff hours, ensuring proper coverage and adherence to employment policies and regulations.
- Work with Youth Success Manager to implement staff trainings
- Attend all scheduled required training courses provided by Greater Gallatin United Way to stay updated on best practices and program requirements.
- Work with Youth Success Manager to plan and implement PIR Day Camps and other Out of School Time camps.
- Lead PIR Day Camps and other Out of School Time camps.
- Table Greater Gallatin United Way Youth Success events and relevant community events for families.
- Uphold guidelines and standards provided by Greater Gallatin United Way to ensure compliance and program quality.
- Maintain building cleanliness standards and manage program equipment, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment.
- Share stories and pictures of the program with Greater Gallatin United Way to showcase program activities and impact.
Other responsibilities may be added and/or changed as Program needs evolve.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in education, child development, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working in an afterschool program or a similar setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with relevant software and technology used in program management.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Successful experience working with elementary school students.
- Experience with summer camps and programs and/or after school.
- Experience with program curriculum and planning
- Enthusiastic willingness to learn new ways of being with students, families and staff.
