JOB SUMMARY
The sales account manager will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and will work closely with Regional Sales Managers and Technical Sales Managers to identify strategic pipeline opportunities and increase market penetration, product implementation, overall sales and plant participation at national and regional accounts throughout their assigned territory. The sales account manager will work to grow existing business by leveraging Sparks’ value proposition, and the organization’s products and services through a consultative sales approach towards the goal of meeting or exceeding assigned territory growth objectives. Additionally, the sales account manager will be responsible for seeking out and developing new business opportunities throughout their assigned territory.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
· Display Sparks’ Core Values ( Earn Trust, Learn By Doing, Working Together, Steward our Legacy) in all day to day functions through Sparks’ established Leadership Competencies (Building Trust, Courageous Communication, Customer Driven, Developing Self and Others, Engagement and Recognition, Execution and Accountability, Innovative Thinking, Managing Change, Managing Conflict, Strategic Vision) 2. Drive Revenue through the implementation of Sparks’ Value Proposition
· Manage National, OEM and Regional Account relationships, and act as the primary point of contact for day to day issues, communication, project management, billing and other activities.
· Develops Annual Account Business Plans and Associated Action Plans
· Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of product and service opportunities throughout territory. (5x annual growth quota)
· Collaborate with all internal stakeholders and support necessary departments to ensure successful plant participation, and implementation.
· Tracks and maintains all account activity
· Meet or Exceed Assigned Growth Objectives
· Meet or exceed all assigned KPIs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Requires excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within an organization. Basic math skills and the ability to acquire and retain extensive product knowledge are required. Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and have the ability to work under minimal supervision.

POSITION TYPE
This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of sales/account management experience
- Track Record of exceeding goals and targets
- Strong Knowledge of Belting Industry or Plant Management Experience a Plus
- Exceptional Customer Service Abilities and Focus
- Ability to manage a demanding customer base
· Computer Applications include MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), and Virtual Social Media (ie: Zoom, WebEx, Skype, Slack, etc.)
