Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with curriculum standards
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including but not limited to math, science, English, and social studies
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on assignments and exams
- Utilize instructional technology and resources to enhance learning experiences
- Provide academic advising and guidance to students
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities
- Conduct research and stay updated on current educational practices and trends
- Provide individual or small group tutoring as needed
- Support students with special education needs through differentiated instruction
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a productive learning environment
- Mentor students and provide guidance on personal and academic matters
- Collaborate with the school library to promote literacy and research skills
- Participate in education administration tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license in the appropriate subject area(s)
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behavior
- Experience working with students with special education needs is a plus
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on research-based teaching strategies
