Responsibilities of the CNA/HHA Caregiver include:
- Assistance with daily activities and personal care
- Companionship by providing socialization to those who may rarely leave their home
- Light homemaking such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dish washing, taking out the trash, laundry, linen change, organizing, keeping areas clear for walking safety
- Medication reminders
- Preparing meals and snacks
- Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
- Dementia/ Alzheimer's care
- Hospice care
- Driving, grocery shopping and running errands as needed
Requirements of the CNA/HHA Caregiver:
- Must have a desire to help seniors stay safely and comfortably in their homes
- Certified Nursing Assistant license or Home Health Aide certification reccomended, CPR certification preferred
- Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
Our clients are in and around the Boston Metro West area including Waltham, Newton, Brookline, Needham, Wellesley, Natick, Wayland, Framingham, Sudbury and Marlborough. This specific shift time is located in Newton.
