Job Title: Manager of Surgery
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the department or team
- Set goals and objectives for the team and ensure they are met
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
- Oversee the day to day operations of the surgical department, ensuring smooth workflow
and efficient utilization of resources.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologist, and other healthcare professionals to
ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
- Manage and monitor surgical schedules.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, advancements and regulatory changes related to surgical services - Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the quality and safety of surgical services.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Collaborate with other managers and departments to achieve organizational goals
- Manage resources effectively
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a timely manner
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
Experience:
- Proven experience in a managerial role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards
- Proficient in using computer software and applications related to the role
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration,
- RN License
-2 or more years of experience in healthcare management in a Surgical setting.
- Strong knowledge of Surgical procedures, regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Physicians and Staff.
