Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Terminologist to join our healthcare team. The Clinical Terminologist will play a crucial role in depth terminology experience and a clinical background (including disability), to include physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and possibly other allied health and benefits professionals sufficient to develop mappings and modeling to SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, FHIR and other appropriate standards that are use case dependent. Develops semantic infrastructure such as metadata, ontology standards, proficient in using terminology tools and has extensive expertise in clinical terminology management such as maintaining terminology by providing updates to domain specific value sets based on new or changed terminology standards.
Qualifications:
- PhD or Masters Degree in Health Information Management or related field
Minimum of 10 years experience
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding systems
- Strong knowledge of standards related to clinical terminologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
