We are seeking an Assistant Pre-K Teacher to support and collaborate with the Lead Teacher in creating an inviting, stimulating and safe learning environment. The Assistant Teacher builds connections between the child’s home and school through regular communication with the family. A strong relationship between the assistant teacher and the teaching team is vital to the program's success. Assistant teachers are responsible for assisting classroom staff with cleaning toys, preparing developmentally appropriate activities, and performing other tasks assigned to ensure a high-quality learning environment. Within the classroom, the assistant teacher will assist the lead teacher in providing quality care for children.

Key Responsibilities:
Use understanding of child development as the foundation of work with young children.
Effective pedagogical approaches include developmentally appropriate practices along with use of research-based curriculum and PA early learning standards to create meaningful learning experiences for children.
Develop and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with families.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding children and families.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Maintain complete and accurate records.

Salary: $16 - $19 per hour determined by experience
