About the opportunity: Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer
We are currently seeking a full-time Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Electrical Engineering team which is responsible for developing designs for electrical, instrument, and control systems and performing a variety of computer-based modeling, design, engineering, and planning tasks on projects. C&I is a full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits.
This is a direct-hire, salaried, full-time position.
Responsibilities include:

Prepares complete design packages, including construction scope of work, for complex projects that meet design intents and customer expectations. Designs are well coordinated with other departments.

The Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer will resolve coordination conflicts effectively, negotiating win-win solutions to multi-discipline project design issues.

With appropriate support, ensure vendor submittals meet the intended use. Coordinates multi-discipline review of vendor documents. Resolving conflicting comments. Considering costs associated with requested changes. Prepares a single set of comments for response to vendor.

Monitors and reports progress against engineering schedules and budgets. Independently takes corrective actions to meet the plan.

Developing an independent quality plan to supplement the normal project execution plan when appropriate. Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency in the work produced with project team objectives and customer expectations.
Minimum requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree or higher from a four-year ABET-accredited engineering program and a minimum of three years of related work experience;

Or a Bachelor's degree or higher from a four-year ABET-accredited engineering technology program with five years of related work experience.

Ability to travel domestically or internationally to client locations, vendor shops, and project sites. Travel may be up to 10%

Must comply with drug-free workplace requirements.

Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and pass any required background checks.

Performs work in a safe manner in accordance with C&I and client requirements.

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job which could include exposure to the weather, heights, small spaces, noise, etc. while walking on job sites.

Valid Driver’s License
