What are we looking for:
Our organization is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Technician or Peer Support Specialist to assist a multi-disciplinary team in providing addiction medicine treatment and support to patients suffering from various substance use disorders. The Behavior Health Technician or Peer Support Specialist will be responsible for patient intakes, contraband searches, belongings documentation, discharge/step down coordination, sanitization, and group facilitation, while planting the seeds of hope for recovery and assisting the client with motivation for change.
The successful candidate will have a positive, growth mindset with a passion for recovery and helping others. We are looking for self-motivated candidates capable of multi-tasking with an innate desire to make a difference in the lives of our clients. Basic knowledge of drug and alcohol addiction are vital as well as the ability to understand and implement the recovery process while maintaining clear and professional boundaries at all times.

Responsibilities:
- EMR documentation (KIPU)
- Intakes, discharges, and step downs to other levels of care within the agency and to our community partners.
- Securing all belongings and valuables.
- Communicating with clients about the continuing services we offer and benefits of staying engaged in treatment.
- Proficiency in professional/behavioral health ethics is required.
- Daily checklist of staff duties such as sanitization, stocking, and inventory
- Maintaining a safe environment for treatment.
- Effectively and efficiently working with a multi-disciplinary team in accordance with best practices to ensure adherence to the clients' treatment plan.
- Adhering to client confidentiality as it pertains to HIPPA compliance.
- Preparing all private rooms for new patients and ensuring facility is in compliance with tour ready standards at all times.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
