This is a hybrid position 80% remote 20% in office
Position Description:
The primary function of this position is to research, prepare, create, edit and produce informative learning content, including developing methods for the assessment and evaluation of training effectiveness. Must be capable of working in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop entry-level and advanced courses about federal housing topics by partnering with internal SMEs, external SMEs, and clients
- Ensure compliance with content, copyright and data protection laws
- Research industry-related topics and identify gaps in existing content.
- Develops curricula, course outlines, instructional methods, training aides, manuals, and other materials and products.
- Create a compelling copy that captures, draws and retains audience attention.
- Write training content, design graphics, and create storyboards
- Design curriculum for web-delivered solutions, including e-learning courses and webinars, that can be used on various devices (knowledge designing to Section 508 regulations a plus)
- Design curriculum for instructor-led learning solutions, including course outlines, facilitator guides, participant guides, and PowerPoint decks.
- Write, record, and edit instructional videos
- Manage course development and implementation from start to finish.
- Administer CVR’s LMS in basic functions, including managing users, uploading, and deleting users, creating assessments, etc.
- Collaborate with all members of Learning and Development team and other CVR staff
- Complete documentation, design, and marketing tasks, as needed.
- Ability to adhere to established deadlines and timeframes for work completion.
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Core Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- BS/BA in Instructional Design or related field or a certificate in Instructional Design Technology (such as Adobe Certified Professional, Articulate Storyline Certificate, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and documentation
- Experience developing e-learning courses (Articulate Storyline knowledge a plus)
- Experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign
- Experience creating and editing videos (Camtasia Studio or Adobe Premiere knowledge a plus)
- Comfortable developing storyboards, designing graphics, and writing scripts
- Must be able to logically organize information and transform bodies of information into professionally designed, functional, and effective learning programs
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
- Ability to work on multiple, complex projects simultaneously
- Ability to continually prioritize changing project tasks/deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in-office and remotely
