Job Summary:
The Project engineer is responsible for providing manufacturing support about of Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants, to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Engineering will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Follow-up of the processes with measurements and establishment of management indicators (KPI).
The Project Engineering complies with policies, regulations and values for safety, quality, housekeeping, continuous improvement activities, and environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for project and quality of delivery from original concept through final implementation.
- Communicate project direction, approach, priorities, events and status to all project resources and business sponsors.
- Develop detailed project plans including milestones, timelines, corrective actions to problems or issues, anticipation of problems, and facilitation of scope management.
- Track project progress and conduct status meetings.
- Mitigate project risks and manage issues; manage project scope and change.
- Recommend cost-effective solutions to address business challenges and/or opportunities.
- Ensure all participants are clear on project goals, benefits, methods, roles, and responsibilities are well understood.
- Coordinate, calculate and analyze the management indicators assigned to Manufacturing Business Unit (KPI), related to each process, and execute the necessary actions for the collection of field data together with the Superintendents of each area, for the achievement of goals and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 1-2+ years demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Aptitude to learn Operational Excellence programs and Continuous Improvement.
- Must have excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Establish and maintain facility environmental, safety, and health standards to minimize employee and community exposure.
- Must possess solid computer skills and working with production software, excel spreadsheets and other reporting applications how Microsoft project, AUTOCAD, etc.
