Job Summary:
The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: verifying incoming inventory against receiving documents; noting and reporting discrepancies such as damages, shortages or overages; stowing inventory in prescribed storage locations to include stacking and palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; relocating inventory as required; inventorying on hand stock; picking inventory from storage location; packaging inventory in preparation for shipment, and entering pick/packs in NESSS.
Requirement:

Must have 2-3 years experience in a warehouse.

Previous forklift experience

High School diploma or equivalent

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The ability to learn additional software programs specifically, NAVAL & SUPPLY SUPPORT SYSTEM (NESSS), COGNOS, and FEDLOG.

One year of experience in direct support in a logistics and supply warehousing environment.

Three years of experience operating standard material handling equipment to include forklifts, pallet jacks, shrink wrap, metal strapping equipment and scales at a minimum.

Must be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance which includes a credit check.
