As a housekeeping attendant, you'll make sure our treehouse and cabins are always 'fresh and welcoming' for our guests - creating a haven for them to escape and relax in. The candidate must be able to stand for long periods, kneel, bend and crawl, squat and crouch, and tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals. This position is located at a treehouse resort and requires outdoor traveling between units on the property carrying housekeeping supplies in all kinds of weather year-round.
- You'll make sure our rooms are always at their best - we have standards - but it's up to you to make that room special and memorable for guests.
- Keep your supervisor updated on room service progress and alert them to any repairs needed.
- Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per resort procedures to ensure excellent quality and service.
- May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.
- Reporting lost and found articles, maintenance problems, or special room problems to a supervisor
- May assist with other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be available to work weekend shifts
- Reliable transportation especially during winter months
- Prior housekeeping experience is a plus
- Strong initiative and work ethic
- Punctual, reliable, and regular attendance
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer-service oriented and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good knowledge of English
Responsibilities
· Vacuuming and sweeping carpets and floors
· Mopping floors as needed
· Dusting, polishing, and vacuuming furniture
· cleaning room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.)
· Changing linen and making beds
· Cleaning showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items
· Removing used guest amenities and trash
· Replenishing guest amenities and supplies
· Inspecting rooms for safety hazards and for the operating condition of equipment and reporting same to maintenance
