We are currently seeking an LSAT Tutor who is passionate about education and eager to help students excel in their LSAT preparation.
1. LSAT Tutoring:
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions focused on LSAT preparation.
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Teach test-taking strategies and techniques to improve performance in all sections of the LSAT: Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and the Writing Sample.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods to ensure continuous improvement.
2. Student Engagement:
- Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with students to motivate and inspire confidence in their abilities.
- Provide constructive feedback and actionable steps for improvement.
3. Curriculum Development:
- Stay updated with the latest LSAT content, formats, and test-taking strategies.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the center’s LSAT prep curriculum.
- Create and share resources, such as practice questions, drills, and mock exams.
4. Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with students and, when appropriate, their parents.
- Provide regular updates on student progress and areas needing attention.
- Offer guidance on law school admissions and application processes, if needed.
Qualifications:
- Current law student at a Miami-based law school (e.g., University of Miami School of Law, Florida International University College of Law).
- Strong academic performance, preferably with a high LSAT score.
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to relate to and effectively tutor college students preparing for the LSAT.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with a variety of LSAT prep materials and resources.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Patience and a passion for helping students succeed.
