Responsibilities for this Director of Nursing opportunity include, but are not limited to:
- Clinical Oversight: Ensure high standards of nursing care for residents.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise nursing staff.
- Care Planning: Develop and oversee individualized care plans.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Budget Management: Manage nursing department budgets and resources.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and improve the quality of nursing care.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments for holistic resident care.
- Family and Resident Advocacy: Act as an advocate for residents and their families.
- Education and Training: Provide ongoing education and training for nursing staff.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response protocols.
Job requirements for the Licensed Practical Nurse:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Associate Degree in Nursing, 3 years of nursing experience.
Diploma, 3 years of nursing experience.
BSN, 2 years nursing experience.
- Successful completion of experience in leadership (i.e. head nurse, supervisor, etc.) for a minimum of one year.
- Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the Center's state.
- Maintains current BLS/CPR certification
