Align ENT & Allergy is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Allergy Technician to join our team. As an Allergy Technician, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of allergy-related conditions.

Responsibilities
- Perform allergy testing, including skin prick tests and intradermal tests, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety.
- Administer allergy immunotherapy, including subcutaneous and sublingual formulations, under the direction of physicians.
- Educate patients on allergy prevention and management strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting test results, treatments administered, and patient responses.
- Ensure the proper handling, storage, and disposal of allergy testing and treatment materials.
- Collaborate with the medical team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide compassionate and professional patient care, addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Document and bill to insurance companies necessary charges for allergy treatment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of a medical assistant or allergy technician program is highly desirable.
- Previous experience as an Allergy Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of allergy testing techniques and procedures, including skin prick tests and intradermal tests.
- Understanding of allergy immunotherapy administration and monitoring.
- Ability to interpret allergy test results and explain them to patients.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the medical team.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
