Position Summary:
JCCA is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Remote Medical Scheduler to join our team. The Remote Medical Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling medical appointments for our clients, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate healthcare services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and experience in a medical or healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule medical appointments for clients, including routine check-ups, specialist visits, and follow-up appointments. Ensure appointments are scheduled in a timely manner.
Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, medical providers, and JCCA staff to coordinate care and confirm appointments. Provide clients with necessary information regarding their appointments.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scheduled appointments, client information, and communication logs. Update electronic health records as needed.
Problem Solving: Address any scheduling conflicts or issues that arise, working to find timely solutions that meet the needs of clients and providers.
Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls to remind clients of upcoming appointments and verify their attendance. Reschedule missed appointments as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical scheduling, administrative, or healthcare role. Experience in a remote work environment is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
