Metropolitan Appliance has an immediate opening for an experienced Warehouse Manager. We are a family-owned company looking for a team-development focused and growth-minded leader to manage our company's Warehouse Team and storage facilities. This role oversees the personnel responsible and assets needed to expertly carry out our organization's Inventory Management, Warehouse Organization, and Fleet Vehicle Maintenance operations.
Warehouse Manager Responsibilities:
- Supervise full and part-time direct reports. Supervisory responsibilities include, but not limited to, hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition, staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Coordinate work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance and response to fluctuating workloads; including scheduling vacations and time off, with the least amount of disruption to the department.
- Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring safety procedures and equipment. Plan, develop, or implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
- Oversee the prompt accounting of inventory receipts and shipments with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Uphold and further reinforce loss prevention protocols and practices.
- Collaborate with teammates and managers to solve work-related problems.
- Responsible for all daily, weekly, and monthly production activities within warehouse operations.
- Adapts quickly to change to meet dynamic business needs; Displays flexibility and appropriate sense of urgency, while leading and engaging employees in a positive and professional manner.
Warehouse Associate Responsibilities that you will Oversee:
- Receiving: Loading and unloading incoming freight trucks and processing the appropriate paperwork accurately.
- Staging: Pulling product and staging the next day's orders in lanes or directly onto trucks and scanning out for accuracy.
- Recycle: organizing and recycling cardboard and trash from the previous day's deliveries.
- Parts: Organizing, ordering, and distributing install accessories.
- Facility Maintenance: Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
- Refurbish: Organizing damaged appliances, submitting return claims, ordering parts and service, and transferring for resale.
- Transfering: Transferring product to and from our 3 warehouses, as well as picking up and dropping off products for warehouse stock.
- Inventory: Counting and reconciling our entire inventory twice yearly. Maintaining Inventory Tags.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years warehouse management experience; overseeing multiple physical locations preferred
- 3+ years managing 10+ employees in a warehouse setting

Pay: $72,000.00 - $78,500.00 per year
