We are looking for an experienced, truckload, opendeck Business Development Manager. If you do not have truckload, opendeck sales experience, please don't apply. This position requires a knowledgeable self-starter, a closer, a good researcher with a hunter mindset. The Business Development Manager will help us expand and diversify our market. You will be the front of the company; you will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to bring in new business, transition the business to inside sales/operations and provide insight as you monitor the business from a distance. Build market in the truckload, open deck and heavy haul business in Texas and the surrounding region. Responsibilities
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- 20% in office, calls/emails soliciting new prospects
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
Skills
- 5 years of previous transportation sales experience in truckload, flatbed and heavy haul market
- Proven business development accomplishments and a track record
