Our small company is looking for a part-time Property Manager to handle the day-to-day maintenance matters at four small rental buildings in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will be able to think on their feet to effectively and quickly resolve issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, including maintaining common areas of property and communicating with both tenants and vendors.
Cultivate and maintain positive tenant-landlord relationships by responding to their concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure properties are well-maintained.
Keep track of vendors, building keys/access, and ongoing issues.
Communicate with office staff about financial matters.
Weekly meetings with Landlord to discuss ongoing issues.
Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience in property management in Brooklyn or Queens
- Strong working knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and basic construction
- Familiarity with compliance of city and state laws
- Excellent communication skills, internally and externally
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify and address issues in a timely and effective manner
- Ability to build positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and contractors
- Familiarity with spreadsheets, property management reports
- Ability to work well under limited supervision.
- Ability to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs.
- Ability to carry at least 20 lbs.
- Flexibility with schedule.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
