Position Summary
NeuroDiagnostic Laboratories is seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Scheduling Coordinator. Our Scheduling Coordinators provide the first impression to every one of our patients. The role and responsibilities of a Scheduling Coordinator impact all facets of the business including our brand, revenue and organizational health, patient satisfaction, and referring physician satisfaction. Individuals who are successful in this role will provide an excellent customer experience for our patients while being able to multitask and meet daily and monthly goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule patient appointments including consultations, testing, and follow-up visits.
- Confirm all demographic, insurance, and medical information.
- Utilizes templates, reference documents, and authorization and referral system to schedule patient appointments.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in anticipating challenges, problem-solving, and seeking resources to resolve issues.
- Answer and resolve all incoming calls and requests in a timely, accurate manner focusing on patient satisfaction and a positive patient experience.
- Proactively communicate with the Scheduling and Intake supervisor regarding issues, concerns, and roadblocks.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all health records, patient information, and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the business.
REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent in Spanish and English, specifically Spanish (US).
- Skilled in defusing difficult situations and able to be consistently pleasant and helpful.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of Salesforce.com and Advanced MD a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must be detailed oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
Skilled in establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
ABILITIES:
- Medical scheduling experience a plus.
- A proven track record of delivering results.
- Previous experience in customer service a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of one to two years’ experience in a healthcare environment in a referral, front desk, billing, and/or office admin role. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and internal staff and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $21.00 per hour
