Martin Aquatic is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design, engineering, equipment creation, specification, and documentation processes, with a focus on manufacturing and assembly document creation. Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and Revit, the ideal candidate excels in preparing precise assembly drawings for projects and models equipment with a keen eye for installation-level details. Additionally, the role involves the creation of 3D piping designs for ongoing projects. High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, including potential Microsoft Excel testing, may be required. Martin Aquatic has a rich 35-year history in the design field and is looking for a talented team member to help create world-class features.
Candidate must be able to work with a team of designers and engineers. Successful candidate will work in Orlando, Florida on preparing construction drawings for projects located in the US and abroad.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling (SolidWorks, Inventor, CREO)
- Ability to quickly lay out items within fixed boundaries
- Understanding of spatial awareness and methods of assembly
- Capability to create parametric models to reduce time with iterations
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and effective assembly sequences
- Ability to be a self-starter and work to optimize workflows
- Strong computer organizational skills in finding, sourcing, and organizing part/assembly libraries
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with a preference for a minimum GPA of 3.3, particularly for candidates with less than 2 years of experience
Responsibilities & Duties
- Organize and update the maintenance of part / assembly library
- Utilize advanced skills in Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or CREO to create accurate 3D models of equipment
- Develop detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for coordination with installers
- Generate detailed drawings to document filtration equipment for shipping and installation purposes
- Establish effective communication channels with vendors to coordinate the sourcing and integration of off-the-shelf components
- Operate with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in mind
- Interact and coordinate with the assembly team to enhance drawings and adjust equipment when necessary
