Job Title: Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager to oversee and manage our company's overall supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and leading our supply chain and procurement team in the acquisition, receiving, inventory and shipment of quality materials and services needed to produce medical devices in compliance with medical device industry regulations (FDA QSR 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485:2016, and EUMDR). This role will involve establishing processes and procedures for purchasing, receiving, inventory control, customer fulfillment, and shipping to support our high standards of quality and efficiency. S/He will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, building a supplier base, developing & managing the approved supplier list (ASL), establishing key categories and category management principles, and establishing procurement processes and systems. The Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager will also be responsible for implementing the purchasing (procure-to-pay) aspects of CorVent™ Medical’s ERP system implementation and on-going maintenance and improvement while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage supply chain strategies to meet company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Build and lead a procurement team in the acquisition of quality materials and services needed to produce medical devices.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve supplier performance.
- Establish procurement processes, including supplier qualification, selection, and monitoring.
- Oversee and perform purchasing activities, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and cost management.
- Build a robust supplier base, including identifying, evaluating, and selecting new suppliers.
- Build, manage and maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) ensuring that it is continually updated and meets CorVent Medicals quality policies and procedures.
- Develop the purchasing and supplier management QMS policies and procedures for Purchasing of direct medical device components and supplies in accordance with CorVent Medical’s QMS policies and procedures as well as FDA 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485:2016 laws for purchasing process and controls.
- Develop and maintain contracts including distribution agreements, RFPs, Letter-of-Intents, supplier agreements, Purchase Orders, etc.
- Implement an ERP system to manage procurement processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services while maintaining high quality standards.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, contract compliance, and issue resolution.
- Develop and hold management business reviews for key supplier relationships that have been identified.
- Develop a category management approach focused on core areas such as: PCBAs, cables/wire harnesses, sheet metal, plastic injection molding, extruded tubing, hardware and fittings, mechanical valves, solenoid valves, etc.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and cost fluctuations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, payment terms, and contracts.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management as well as changes in regulatory compliance regarding purchasing of direct medical device components and supplies.
- Develop and maintain purchasing standard operating procedures, processes, and systems for medical devices that meet the regulatory requirements for 21 CFR 820, ISO13485:2016, ISO14971, EUMDR and other applicable standards, such as EN3480.
- Utilize ERP systems to optimize supply chain operations, improve efficiency, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, manufacturing, and engineering, to support product development and production.
- Develop and maintain inventory management policies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize obsolescence.
- Coordinate with the regulatory affairs team to ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
