General Summary
The Accounting and Finance Coordinator provides essential administrative and financial support to the Finance Office, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. Responsibilities include assisting with financial data entry, budget preparation, expenditure monitoring, and supporting in managing accounts payable and receivable. Additionally, the role encompasses general office duties such as filing, document preparation, coordinating meetings, and handling financial correspondence. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Essential Functions
- Perform general finance office duties, including filing, preparing documents, coordinating meetings, and assisting in financial correspondence.
- Assist the Financial Controller in recording and organizing financial data.
- Support the Financial Controller in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures.
- Assist in handling accounts payable and receivable.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and contribute to financial projects and initiatives.
- Perform other tasks as necessary to support the Finance Office.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Required/Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance or accounting.
- 2+ years of experience working in a similar position preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks).
- High level of accuracy in data entry and document preparation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Armenian.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain organized records.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Effective team player with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Specific Skills and Abilities
- High level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data; meticulous in organizing documents and financial records.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively; proficient in maintaining organized and accessible records.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication; ability to coordinate and communicate efficiently with colleagues and external parties.
- Competent in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiar with data entry and database management.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes; capable of assisting in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures.
- Strong sense of discretion; ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions.
- Efficient in managing time to meet deadlines and support the Finance Office’s needs; capable of handling a fast-paced work environment and adapting to changing priorities.
- Effective team player; willing to assist colleagues and contribute to team projects and initiatives.
- Flexible in handling other tasks as necessary to support the Finance Office; eager to learn new skills and adapt to new processes and technologies.

Compensation
Anticipated compensation is $5,600 - $6,500 monthly depending on experience.
