Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take dental x-rays, CT images and Pano's
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using Eaglesoft software
- Maintain dental equipment as needed
- Work with pediatric patients to ensure their comfort and safety during dental visits
- Utilize CAD software for designing dental restorations
- Complete necessary medical documentation in compliance with regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- X-ray certification required
- Experienced in assisting in all types of dentistry and procedures
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
