Job Title: Customer Service Associate
Position Type: Full time – Temporary (6 months)
Shift: 9am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch
Pay: $17/hour
Job Summary: We are looking for a customer-oriented service representative. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries, and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Perform various Mail Center activities (sorting, metering, folding, inserting, delivery, pickup, etc.)
- Lift heavy boxes, files or paper when needed
- Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
- Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment
- Operating mailing, copy or scanning equipment
- Shipping & Receiving
- Sort and deliver mail, small packages
- Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages
- Scanning incoming mail to recipients
- Perform file purges and pulls
- Create files and ship files
- Enter information daily into spreadsheets
- Identify charges and match them to billing
- Maintain all logs and reporting documentation, attention to detail
- Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines and safety procedures
- Take direction from supervisor or site manager
- Participate in cross-training and perform other duties as assigned (Filing, outgoing shipments, etc.)
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Provide backfill when needed
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 6 months customer service-related experience
- Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills required (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience running mail posting equipment a plus
- Experience with data entry is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
- Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
- Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
- Willingness and availability to work additional hours if assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- 18 Years of Age or Older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to stand, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, sit, talk, or hear as required by job duties.
- Close vision and ability to focus are necessary for performing tasks accurately.
- Ability to engage in repetitive motion activities like twisting, bending, and climbing.
- Lifting up to 55 lbs. with or without accommodations
Prior Helpful Experience May Include:
- Familiarity with office equipment and procedures
Pay Disclosure:
"The pay range for this position is $16/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.”
