JOB STATEMENT
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for a variety of general maintenance activities and repairs to company buildings and equipment, including but not limited to general repairs/handyman work, light construction, drywall installation and repair, as well as interior and exterior painting.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Checks building at beginning and end of each business day and ensures building are opened/secured as applicable.
Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Completes work orders as assigned/received and updates statuses in system.
Performs tasks such as repairing fixtures, minor mechanical and plumbing repairs.
Paint or repairs walls, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, roofs, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
Transfers tools, parts, equipment, waste, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas or locations.
Disassembles broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble equipment when repairs are complete.
Sets-up/tears-down chairs, tables, and equipment in meeting rooms (e.g. shared medical appointments) •
Performs general cleaning duties of buildings (e.g. removing trash or debris, cleaning windows, etc.)
Requests supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Maintains inventory logs (e.g. keys, inspections, supplies, equipment, etc.)
Interacts with maintenance vendors and escorts them when performing work in company premises.
Raises/lowers Company flags as requested or mandated by law.
Changes all Air Conditioning building filters (internal and external).
Assists in training new facilities technicians.
Performs other tasks as required by supervision.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Specialized Training/Certifications/Licenses: o Current Driver’s License o Trade School Certification a plus
Experience:
5 years Minimum Preferred
3 years Maintenance Tech + Trade School Certification

Abilities: o Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language. o Ability to stand/walk for majority of the shift. o Must be able to bend or stoop and climb.
Must be able to periodically lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted.
Other: o Must be able to periodically work on Saturdays. o Must be flexible with work hour schedules (to include occasional night shift). o May require some local travel between different clinic locations. o Must be able to maintain required immunizations as required by the organization. o Must be able to complete required training (e.g. Maintain X, OSHA 10, etc.) o Must be comfortable being potentially exposed to biohazardous waste.
Must be comfortable being exposed to poor weather conditions (e.g. rain, cold, etc.)
