POSITION SUMMARY:Apply your knowledge of engineering and CNC technology to support our manufacturing processes. Work independently and as a team on process improvements and solving production issues on the shop floor. This includes implementing new techniques and technologies to reduce labor and material costs and increase quality and thru-put. This position will be approximately half office time and half shop floor time. This is a position for an individual that is self-motivated, can work independently, and can make their own technical decisions in a logical manner within the scope of their responsibilities. Project supervision, while open and available, will be limited to overall objectives and direction only.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:4 – Year Engineering Degree or Equivalent experience..
Experience:Requires a minimum of five to seven years to gain sufficient experience to perform the requirements of the position.
- Identify and implement new and creative methods to improve existing CNC processes
- Develop written and visual work instructions on new and existing processes
- Specify new machinery, develop cost justification, and commission into production upon arrival.
- Be self-motivated, work on projects, solve issues, and improve processes all independently and as part of a team
- Manage engineering projects to within project scope, time limits and budget amounts
- Work with product design to evaluate designs for ease of manufacturing.
- Design tooling and work holding fixtures
- Coordinate the manufacture of tooling with in-house and outside machining facilities
- Troubleshoot mechanical system failure and provide a solution in a timely manner
- Provide cost estimates to sales and product development for new products
- Technically assist other departments in a support role when appropriate
- Experience with Fanuc CNC controllers required(Mazak CNC Controllers a plus)
- CNC programming experience of 3 axis VMC required, 4 axis HMC, mill turn, and Swiss style machines a plus
- CMM programming experience a plus
Software:
- Required:G-code programming, CAM Software, 3D modeling experience, Microsoft Office 2.
- Preferred:Oracle, Creo 4.0, PTC Pro/Manufacture, Gibbs Cam, Fanuc B macro programming, PCDMIS CMM programming

Pay: $70,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
