Job Description: The Blogging Coordinator role will oversee projects for the blogging department. The CounselingWise blogging department provides ghostwritten blog posts for our clients as part of a monthly blog post subscription program and as part of clients’ website work. Our clients are mainly therapists, counselors, and coaches.
- You will act as a liaison between clients and blog editors to communicate preferred topics
- You will work with an internal developer to publish edited posts and images to client websites as needed
- You will perform Quality Assessment checks on all posts uploaded to client websites
- You will monitor the workload of blog editors and bloggers and distribute the workload among editors as evenly and fairly as possible
- You will help hire editors and bloggers as department needs fluctuate
- You will work with the operations team to offboard any team members who are no longer a good fit for the team
- You will coordinate with our internal project managers to deliver client blog posts
- Receive, request, and track client-provided blog topics, sources, and notes
- Research, and develop titles for 600-650-word (minimum) blog posts as well as topics for our weekly client-facing newsletter
- Assign, schedule, and track blog post progress in our task management application
- If the editing team needs help, you may be required to edit/ publish posts weekly on our WordPress platform
- Review client feedback and communicate information to writers and editors as needed
- Operate a group email inbox for the blogging department, fielding client questions and requests
- Communicate the status of work in a weekly status report
- Record time in our project management tool
- Ability to handle very busy Mondays
- This is a 1099 contractor position
Hourly Rate:
- This position pays $20.00/hour
- There is a 3-month trial period to ensure it is a good fit
Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate and work well in a completely remote atmosphere. All work is completed online
- Strong ability to understand, write, and edit online content for a general/varied audience
- Ability to coordinate management responsibilities, multiple projects, and correspondence
- Will deliver a high level of customer service to clients with varying levels of technical experience
- Must be flexible, organized, and able to coordinate work between multiple departments
- Familiarity with general SEO best practices
- Familiarity with Google Docs and Google Sheets
- Blogging, Squarespace, WordPress, and Wix experience are a plus
- Familiarity with generative AI a plus
