Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pantry person to join our team. The Pantry person will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals following set recipes and menus while adhering to food safety standards.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and storing food items
- Cook and plate dishes accurately and efficiently during service hours
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders when needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Cook in a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation
- Understanding of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in the food industry or dietary department
- Proficiency in menu planning and meal preparation techniques
